Accessible User Information via Telegram API

Through the Telegram API, the following information about users is available:

  • First and Last Name: Basic name details as provided in the user’s Telegram profile.
  • Username: The public username of the user, if they have set one.
  • User ID (UID): A unique numeric identifier for each Telegram user.
  • Profile Photo: The user’s current first profile picture.

Restricted User Information

The Telegram API does not provide access to the following details:

  • Phone Number: User phone numbers remain private and are not accessible through the API.
  • Date of Account Creation: Information on when a user joined Telegram is not available.
  • Additional Personal Details: Any other information such as email addresses or contacts is not accessible right now!

Summary

Due to these restrictions, the Telegram API offers limited scope for retrieving personal details about users. This ensures user privacy and keeps sensitive information like contact details and account history secure.

However, Telegram has promised to introduce user location data in future updates, though it has not yet been officially implemented.
